Sometimes one wants to give advice, be helpful to somebody. But if it is taken the wrong way or its not wished, and it backfires, hurting that very person you wanted to care for, you regret it afterwards, for days, for weeks.

Feelings can be painful, especially when a relationship has no real possibility to grow, or the feelings are too strong, or it leads to questions about one’s dark past.
Sometimes it is necessary to protect oneself before it can blossom.

Commentary to “Greens and Browns”:
I wrote a poem about an intelligent young lady, who I understood stood in the shadow of her brother (although she later said, she didn’t feel that way).
She is of the type who could do a lot of things successfully in life. Outgoing, competent, not scared to try new things, spoke several languages, etc.

With reference to the same named poem:
The line “who wants a girlfriend, they kick you in the teeth” was hanging on my tongue for a couple of seconds.
It just sounded interesting, so I decided to make something out of it.
And just look at what happened: Its called “Who Wants A Girlfriend”.

Commentary to “The Room”:
The night before I had been working to 04:00 in the morning and then I was up again a couple of hours later.
By the afternoon I was pretty washed out. I had been working on a new music composition, which was still floating around my head, as well as thinking about tons of stuff which I had to do. :-(

I was thinking about a quote for the header of the site.
To tell the truth I wanted to have something intellectual, be cool, totals, man.
So this popped out:
…I am not what I am not,
And what is not is not what is not not
For what is not may not not not

All of a sudden I had this three lined harmony with a couple of phrases in my head. It was like a chant.
I’m an old chorister, and I love the sound of singing in cathedrals. The harmony was of the type that would sound well in a large space, so I tried it out in a large hallway and the reverberated sound sounded great.

I found this poem in my collection.
As I wrote this, I had the feeling that the person I was/had been close to, but long lost, was about to get married.
On the spur of the moment, I had to put my feelings and thoughts to paper.

At HomeBase, Julius has a dog “Fred” who often comes into the kitchen or living room and looks at you rather inquisitively. You never know if he is feeling out or reading your mind. He never tells you. It’s his secret.

Yesterday was Regan Tamanui’s birthday, an artist from Down Under (Australia) who is very creative. His main line of work is large stenciled murals, but he also does free hand spraying. He started the “Stuckist” movement in Australia.
